"Plans for a Better Self" are self portraits taken to criticize and investigate natural genetics versus an idealized view of what women could or should look like. Using eye-liner as a correction pen, I placed plastic surgery diagrams on my face. The suggested improvements show the potential corrective changes to make my face more "beautiful". I have been working with self-portrait photography since 1997 to demonstrate reality versus idealized constructs.
