Welcome to ITCH's new intern: Vuyo
Vuyo R. Seripe, an accomplished writer in her own right, has joined ITCH magazine as an intern until the end of May. Vuyo will be working with ITCH for two months, focussing on building and expanding our relationship with writers everywhere, but especially in Africa. To get a feel for Vuyo's work, read this.

Anthology of queer African short fiction seeks contributions
Gay and Lesbian Memory in Action, the pioneering, highly regarded South African gay and lesbian archives, invites African writers to submit stories on a queer African theme for publishing in a ground-breaking anthology. Gay and Lesbian Memory in Action intends the anthology to query stereotypes, show that there are many ways of being queer in Africa, and encourage queer artistic expression and appreciation. Wanted: e-Intern
ITCH is looking for an e-intern. This post would be short term, for 3-4 months, and would suit someone (possibly a student) who is looking for work experience in the field of independent, creative, online publishing. The internship would entail a few hours of work per week, which can be arranged flexibly, and would be focussed on communication, networking and online promotion tasks all aimed at helping the ITCH community grow. New works in $ issue
Two new works have recently been added to the $ issue. An audio track sounding the call to "bring the god of holy profit down" by David van Rensburg and a video piece, exploring status, wealth and consumerism in the setting of a luxury boutique by Maxim and Romy Northover. Incidentally, another video piece in the issue is made by twins - Caucozoida by Jean and Zinaid Meeran.
